A brief history of some of the things I've created:
- 1983 | Reprogrammed Lunar Lander on C-64 to do all sorts of funky stuff.
- 1984 | Created my first complete program. A choose your own adventure story. :)
- 1988 - 1991 | Wrote all sorts of BBS software.
- 1995 | Created an asset inventory app for the Navy.
- 1995 | Created a secure identification application for the Navy.
- 1996 | Created a virus disinfection/immunization app for the Navy.
- 2001 | Created a turnkey wireless hotspot system. It rocked.
- 2006 | Currently developing a new approach to system management.
Languages I've used/use/debug:
- Commodore BASIC/GW-BASIC/QuickBasic (history of BASIC)
- PHP
- Perl
- ASP
- JavaScript
PHP
PHP is my langue de choix for server side scripting. It was the first language I learned since BASIC. I'm very pleased with the direction PHP5 has gone. Here are some projects:
CSS
Now that everyone I know is moving on to XSL, I figure I might as well learn CSS. I'm really glad I did, the web is interestingly scalable again.. I was truly afraid of it ending up as a million Word documents. Separate information from style, diligently. As an aside, I find it strangely comforting to find Internet Explorer still brain damaged.
